mcbUSA, the original club sponsored by the MCB department, works to provide students with academic services and social events. While we are sponsored by the MCB department, you don't have to be an MCB major to join or to take part in the events, so come out and join us for a fun-filled year!

Disconnect: A Film on Cell Phones & Cancer

DATE: March 14th from 7-9PM
LOCATION: 102 Wurster

What dangers are we putting ourselves in when we put phones to our head during a call? Come join us for a screening of "Disconnect: A Film on Cell Phones and Cancer." There will be a Q&A after the screening featuring: Disconnect Filmmaker, Kevin Kunze, Berkeley City Council Member, Max Anderson, California Brain Tumor Association Director, Ellie Marks. Genentech Infosession

DATE: February 15th from 6-8PM

Genentech, the premiere and top biotech company is coming to UC Berkeley. Consistently on Forbes Top 100 Best Companies to work for, Genentech will be explaining its unique company culture and undergraduate opportunities for summer 2012. College recruiters, current employees, and previous interns will all be available to answer any questions. Resumes will be accepted and food will be provided. Dress code is casual. Valentine's Day Social - Crazy Stupid Love!

It is that time of the year again - Valentine's Day! We will be screening the comedy "Crazy Stupid Love", starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. Pumpkin Carving Contest - Thursday, October 27th

mcbUSA will be hosting a Pumpkin Carving Contest Social next Thursday, in which we will provide free pumpkins and carving tools along side such delicious things as complementary apple cider and pumpkin pie. The winner will get a prize!

mcbUSA presents: Faculty Luncheon with Dr. Kevin Hybiske

Our first faculty luncheon of the year is just around the corner! The luncheon will feature Dr. Kevin Hybiske, a Public Health researcher in the infectious disease field. Come join us for a small discussion and FREE LUNCH!!!

How to Ace Berkeley: A Guide to Studying

Learn techniques on how to become more efficient with your time and studying, and learn more about the resources that UC Berkeley has to offer. Representatives from various divisions within Berkeley such as the SLC, ASUC, and other study groups will be presenting as well. Food and drinks will be provided.

mcbUSA is now recruiting officers for the 2011-2012 academic year. If you are interested in helping mcbUSA plan events and want the chance to interact with fellow MCB students and faculty, then apply to mcbUSA!
