At a large research university like UC Berkeley, we are taught by incredibly intelligent people on a daily basis. However, it can be hard to get to know your professor when your classes have hundreds of students. Our monthly faculty luncheons give students the chance to talk to some of their favorite professors in a casual setting.
This is the perfect opportunity to learn about a professor’s research or simply what they like to do in their spare time. If you are interested in a specific class taught by a professor, luncheons are also an excellent way to learn more and see if the class is right for you. Lunch is provided and students of all majors are welcome.
